SDG IMPACT

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

With the universal adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the United Nations in 2015, organizations around the world are identifying opportunities to advance them to put society on a secure footing by 2030.

While there are many opportunities to approach this as a philanthropic undertaking, it is also important – if not more important – to consider how the achievement, or under-achievement, of the SDGs will affect corporate strategy and future performance.

GEMS KEEP GIVING

‘Gems Keep Giving’ (GKG) is an initiative set up by the International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) to support artisanal gemstone mining and cutting communities around the globe. As the name implies those involved in the gemstone industry now have a way of giving back to those in our industry who are most in need. By giving we are not only changing lives for the better but we are also helping to make our industry more sustainable.

MANI INTELLIGENTI

The “Mani Intelligenti” Foundation aims to seek and train the new generation of Master goldsmiths. The goldsmith tradition of Valenza is undoubtedly recognised throughout the world, differentiating itself thanks to the innovation, creativity and exclusive care of Italian jewels craftsmanship.

We are witnessing a generational gap that could compromise the sustainability of the entire production system of high-end Italian jewellery, for this reason the Foundation wants to commit itself to seek new generation of master goldsmiths able to carry on not only the tradition, but also the innovation and quality.
